SSC Junior Hindi Translator Application Form

The Staff Selection Commission has activated the link to apply for SSC JHT post on October 22nd, 2018. Candidates can fill the online application form by 19th November 2018. However, the last date to pay the application fee (both online and offline) is 21st November 2018 till 5 pm.

Document Required for SSC JHT 2018 One Time Registration

The One Time Registration is required to Login to the exam page you are applying in the Official Website of SSC. Therefore, it is mandatory that you register yourself first. You must have the following document for the one time registration:

  • Valid Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
  • Valid E-Mail (to be verified through OTP)
  • Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrollment Number
  • In the absence of Aadhaar Number, you need to provide any one of the valid ID proof:
    • Voter ID
    • PAN
    • Passport
    • Driving License
    • School/College ID
    • Employee ID (Govt./PSU/Private)
  • Matriculation (10th Board) Marksheet and pass certificate
  • Scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Blurred Photos will be rejected.
  • Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height).
  • If Aadhaar Number or Aadhaar Enrollment Number is not provided, scanned Left hand Thumb Impression (LTI) in JPEG format (10KB to 30 KB). Image dimension of the required impression should be about 3.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height).
  • Disability Certificate (if applicable).

SSC Stenographer Selection Process

The Staff Selection Commission conducts a Computer Based Examination for Recruitment of Stenographer Grade “C”(Group B Non-gazetted) and Stenographer Grade “D”, Group “C” Non-Gazetted Posts. Selection Process for SSC Stenographer Grade C and Grade D comprises of Written test or Computer Based Test, Skill Test, and Document verification.
The SSC Stenographer written exam is a computer-based exam. The paper includes three subjects having multiple choice questions – Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language & comprehension.

Skill Test:

The candidates will have to appear for the stenography test or skill test involving a test of typing. They will be judged on the basis of speed and accuracy of typing.

Skill test in Stenography:

Candidates who obtain qualifying marks in the written exam will be called for a Skill Test. The skill test will involve a typing test that is qualifying in nature. Skill test will be based on Stenography.

The candidates who appear for the stenography skill test and will be given dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi(as per choice) at a speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “C” and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade “D”. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer. Candidates will have to know stenography in both Hindi and English, being a fundamental requirement of the job as a stenographer.

Candidates may also produce work experience certificates if any.

Mandatory Documents

  • You must carry the RailwayGroup D Admit Card to the exam venue. Without the hall ticket, you won’t be allowed to sit for the exam venue.
  • Also, you must carry a valid photo identity proof in original and photocopies of the same. The photo should be clear.
  • Carry two passport size recent photos with the admit card.

 Exam Day Instructions for Aspirants

  • You must report to the exam center well before the reporting time.
  • You have to write a self-declaration paragraph.
  • Also, you need to put your signature and left hand thumb impression on the space provided in presence of the invigilator.
  • Do not bring any restricted items to the exam venue.
  • If you are found using any unfair means, you will be debarred from writing the exam.
